چکیده
time-dependent schrödinger equation for a 1-d model of hydrogen molecular ion h2+ in intenselaser field linearly polarized along the molecular axis is solved. ionization rates are calculated for differentinitial states. the evolution of electronic wavefunction at fixed inter-nuclear separations are simulated andanalyzed. the results obtained for the ground state of this 1-d model of h2+ show appreciable qualitative agreement with the results obtained previously in the 2-d and 3-d studies. the ponderomotive energy effect on the beginning of ionization in different initial states is observed. the above threshold ionization has a large contribution in the ionization of electrons, except for the ground state and at equilibrium inter-nuclear separation. the ionization rates show that at some inter-nuclear separations larger than 4.0 au, resonance enhancement ionization by some higher excited states occur. at inter-nuclear separations shorter than 4.0 au, the ground state does not show any resonance with higher excited states.

Double ionization of H2 by intense attosecond laser pulses
We present calculations of the double ionization of H2 induced by an intense attosecond laser pulse at a photon energy of 40 eV using the time-dependent close-coupling method within the fixed nuclei approximation. We focus on two-photon absorption processes and examine how the response of the ejected electrons, in particular the singleand the double-energy differential probabilities, is affecte...
متن کاملIntense-laser-field ionization of the hydrogen molecular ions H2+ and D2+ at critical internuclear distances.
Fragmentation of H2+ and D2+ in ion beams has been studied with short intense laser pulses (100 fs, I=5x10(13)-1x10(15) W/cm2) and by a high-resolution two-dimensional velocity imaging technique. In the Coulomb explosion channel, at intensities just above the threshold for this process, we observe a clear structure in the kinetic energy spectra not previously found or predicted. The peaks can b...

The ionization-dissociation of methyl iodide in intense laser field has been studied using a reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometry (RTOF-MS), at a laser intensity of < or =6.6x10(14) W/cm(2), lambda=798 nm, and a pulse width of 180 fs. With the high resolution of RTOF-MS, the fragment ions with the same M/z but from different dissociation channels are resolved in the mass spectra, and the...
متن کاملAngular tunneling ionization probability of fixed-in-space H2 molecules in intense laser pulses.
We propose a new approach to obtain molecular frame photoelectron angular distributions from molecules ionized by intense laser pulses. With our method we study the angular tunnel ionization probability of H2 at a wavelength of 800 nm over an intensity range of 2-4.5 x 10(14) W/cm2. We find an anisotropy that is stronger than predicted by any existing model. To explain the observed anisotropy a...
متن کاملDissociation and Ionization of Quasi-Periodically Vibrating H2+ in Intense Few-Cycle Mid-Infrared Laser Fields
Using quantum mechanics calculations, we theoretically study the dissociation and ionization dynamics of the hydrogen-molecule ion in strong laser fields. Having prepared the nuclear wave packet of H2+ in a specific vibrational state, a pump laser is used to produce a vibrational excitation, leading to quasi-periodical vibration without ionization. Then, a time-delayed few-cycle laser is applie...
متن کاملDynamic tunnelling ionization of H2 in intense fields
Intense-field ionization of the hydrogen molecular ion by linearly-polarized light is modelled by direct solution of the fixed-nuclei time-dependent Schrödinger equation and compared with recent experiments. Parallel transitions are calculated using algorithms which exploit massively parallel computers. We identify and calculate dynamic tunnelling ionization resonances that depend on laser wave...
